Appalachian State Parking and Traffic Rules and Regulations

The University Parking and Traffic Department is responsible for providing a variety of traffic control and parking services for all students, faculty, visitors, students and other staff on campus. The management of Appalachian State University’s nearly 6,500 parking spaces is accomplished through the enforcement of the Parking and Traffic Regulations, as well as vehicle registration. Please refer to the Parking and Traffic Rules and Regulations Manual (PDF, 70 KB) for more details. All persons registering a vehicle for parking at Appalachian State University are encouraged to read this online manual as soon as possible as it provides important information. These rules and regulations are designed to enhance the welfare and safety of the entire campus community.
